One of the most common causes of error when measuring blood pressure is the user's circulatory system not being sufficiently at rest when taking the measurement. That is why the BM 28 uses haemodynamic stability diagnostics (HSD) to check that the blood pressure has been measured in a state of sufficient circulatory rest and that the result is therefore meaningful.
For precise and accurate pulse and blood pressure measurement, the cuff must not be too loose. The BM 28 cuff fit check feature displays a symbol indicating whether the cuff is tight enough, so that measurement errors can be more quickly detected and corrected.
The risk indicator uses a ""traffic light"" colour scale to classify the measured pulse and blood pressure values. This makes results easy to recognise and interpret at a glance. The classification of the values into the respective colour ranges is explained in the instructions for use.
